Prem Ras Madira

Shri Shyama Ju ko, aiso sarala subhaya.
The divinely simple nature of Shri Radha is such…

Jaiso nahin kahun sunyo na dekhyo,
haun kaha bhujahin uthaya.
…that it has never been heard of or seen before; I am declaring this as the truth.

Jaki nakh-mani-chandra-chandrikahin,
shambhu smadhihin dhyaya.
The effulgence of Her toenails is meditated upon as formless God by Lord Shiva in his thought-free yogic trance of nirvikalpa samadhi.

Take sanga rain din biharati,
Braj-vanachari samudaya.
Because of Shri Radha’s infinite kindness, even the Gopis, the village maidens of Braj, eternally participate in Her divine pastimes,

Taji Brajarahun bhajati, bhajata jo,
krandana karuna sunaya.
The greatest proof of Her endless mercy is that upon hearing the sincere cries of a soul who seeks refuge in Her, She leaves even Shri Krishna and rushes to that soul at once.

Jasu ‘Kripalu’ sharana gahi Giridhara,
asharana sharana kahaya.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “To what extent can I explain Her causeless grace? It is only because Shri Krishna has Himself taken refuge in Shri Radha that He is known asharana sharana, the refuge of destitutes.”
